Industrial plugs and sockets can be classed into three levels in terms of protection class: IP 44, IP55 and IP67

IP44: can avoid hazard from water spraying all direction around and solid material 1mm above, widely used in automatic device, packing device, injection molding machine, stage lighting and audio, building machinery, generator set, distribution cabinet.

IP55: can avoid harm from low pressure water spraying all direction and dust. Usually can be used in : vehicle cleaning device, and spraying device.

IP67: can be dipped in water below 15cm(dipping 30 mins) and avoid the dust& powder completely. We can seen them

in industry of : mining machinery, distribution device of outdoor playground
